Course Objectives:

  • This course is specially designed to provide technical knowledge and skills to cope with the requirement of IT Support Service occupations of the ICT sector. The course will be implemented to ensure at least 80% of total contact hours on practical/hands on skills  training or practice  and 20% trade/ occupations  related theory including OHS and soft modules;

  • The course is designed to enable trainees to acquire a range of technical and vocational, practical, personal and organizational skills valued and utilized  both within and beyond  the workplace;

  • The course is designed to meet the required competencies of the occupations needed in the labor market in and outside the country;

Occupation Specific Knowledge (Trade Theory)  = 126 Hours.

Occupation Specific Skills (Practical/Demonstration) = 568 Hours.

  • Proven techniques for improving on-site customer interaction

  • How service level agreements impact workflow and prioritization of requests

  • Undertake Possible invention for effective root cause analysis

  • Maintain processes of incident, problem, change, release, asset, and configuration management

  • An overview of security management and knowledge management of IT

  • Essential time management and problem-solving skills

  • Effective strategies for managing difficult users

Competency Level: Basic Skilled Worker Level 1/Medium-Skilled Worker Level 2/Semi-skilled Worker Level 3/ Skilled Worker Level 4/ Highly Skilled Worker (Supervisor) Level 5(Appropriate level should be mentioned)

Student Assessment Method

  • Class Test( oral & practical based on achievement of competencies , once every 7 days)
  • Monthly Test( oral & practical, once every 30 days)
  • Final Test ( oral and practical based on achievement of competencies outlined for the course )
  • Final Test to be conducted by Industry Assessors and institutional Trainers  to assess the skills received during training
